Lk 1:1-4 – St. Luke introduces his purpose in writing his Gospel of Jesus
Lk 1:5-25 – The Archangel Gabriel announces the birth of St. John the Baptist
Lk 1:26-38 – The Archangel Gabriel announces the coming of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary says “yes”
Lk 1:39-45 – The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth

Chapter 2

Lk 2:1-14 – Jesus Christ is born in poverty to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph in Bethlehem and is accompanied by an army of of angels
Lk 2:15-20 – The Shepherds worship the baby Jesus
Lk 2:21 – Jesus is circumcised and Mary is celebrated as the Mother of God 
Lk 2:22-40b – Jesus moves Simeon and Anna to reveal His identity at His Presentation at the Temple
Lk 2:41-52 – Jesus goes to His Almighty Father in the Temple at age 12

Chapter 3

Lk 3:1-9 – The zealous and courageous St. John the Baptist announces the Messiah and offers dire warnings to men
Lk 3:10-18 – St. John the Baptist’s call for men to repent, seek holiness and prepare for Messiah’s judgment
Lk 3:15-16, 21-22 – Jesus is baptized by St. John the Baptist in the River Jordan
Lk 3:19-20 – Herod imprisons John the Baptist (See Mk 6:17-29)

Chapter 4

Lk 4:1-13 – Jesus battles and conquers Satan in the Temptation

Lk 4:31-37 – Jesus astounds by casting out a demon from a man at the synagogue in Capernaum
Lk 4:38-44 – Jesus miraculously heals Simon’s mother in law and many others

Lk 5:1-11 – Jesus awes Simon-Peter with a miraculous catch of fish
Lk 5:12-16 – Jesus miraculously heals a leper
Lk 5:17-26 – Jesus shocks a crowd by miraculously healing a paralytic and forgiving his sins
Lk 5:27-32 – Jesus calls Matthew to be His disciple and rebukes the misguided Pharisees
Lk 5:33-39 – Jesus cryptically reveals He is the Messiah and the necessity for men to exclusively follow Him

Chapter 6

Lk 6:1-5 – Jesus humiliates some confrontational Pharisees and proclaims He is the Lord of the Sabbath
Lk 6:6-11 – Jesus miraculously heals a man with a withered hand on the Sabbath and infuriates the Pharisees
Lk 6:12-19 – Jesus appoints His Apostles and miraculously heals a great multitude prior to the Sermon on the Plain
Lk 6:20-26 – Jesus promises happiness to the righteous and warns of woes to the unrighteous
Lk 6:27-38 – Jesus promises great rewards to those who love their enemies

Lk 8:16-18 – Jesus warns that disciples are rewarded or punished based on their efforts to evangelize others

Lk 9:1-6 – Jesus sends His 12 male Apostles to preach, heal and warn others to repent
Lk 9:7-9 – Jesus causes the evil King Herod to be afraid and to seek Him
Lk 9:10-17 – Jesus miraculously Feeds the 5000 (See Mt 14:13-21)
Lk 9:18-22 – Jesus is recognized by Peter as the Christ of God
Lk 9:22-27 – Jesus shocks the Apostles by revealing that they must be willing to follow Him in Crucifixion
Lk 9:28-36 – Jesus is supernaturally transfigured and the Trinity is revealed
Lk 9:37-43 – Jesus rebukes His disciples and casts a demon out of a possessed young boy (Mk 9:14-29)
Lk 9:43-45 – Jesus reveals the horrible details of His coming Passion for the second time
Lk 9:46-50 – Jesus teaches about true greatness and the spiritual combat
Lk 9:51-56 – Jesus rebukes St. James and John for desiring to destroy an inhospitable Samaritan village
