Blessed Trinity, I desperately need the Gift of Counsel so I may battle against Imprudence and grow in PrudenceLord, hear my prayer.

Rather than ignorantly or stubbornly embracing the false wisdom of the world and ignoring You in my daily life, inspire me to strive to know Your Truth and rigorously conform my will to Your Will in all things…

Rather than being lazy, shallow, emotionally-driven or short-sighted in assessing what to do in different situations, guide me to use the mind You have given me to think deeply and objectively to draw fruitful insights from experience…

Rather than being close-minded or allowing myself to be vulnerable to manipulation by others, help me to screen and accept legitimate advice with docility, eagerness and holy discernment…

Rather than being naïve, illogical, biased, dishonest or short-sighted, direct me to be shrewd, logical, objective, honest and to use foresight as I analyze situations to best serve You in every decision…

Rather than procrastinating, being indecisive or jumping to impulsive reaction, help me to prayerfully make timely decisions with discipline and appropriate caution…

Rather than delaying, timidly taking half-measures, flip-flopping or failing to follow-through, help me to confidently take and sustain firm and timely action when You’ve led me to a decision…

Rather than stubbornly and foolishly sticking with decisions which turn out to be bad when implemented, lead me to be circumspect, take input, admit mistakes, and courageously adapt when circumstances change…

Blessed Trinity, I desperately need the Gift of Counsel so I may battle against Imprudence and grow in Prudence.

I beg for wise and abundantly fruitful Prudence, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, Savior of Man. Amen
