Men, there’s a crisis in the Church today. Millions of baptized Catholics have drifted away, and countless more live as “Casual Catholics,” knowing about Jesus but not truly knowing Him. The Church is sounding the alarm with the New Evangelization—a call to reawaken faith by personally encountering Jesus Christ. This is not optional. You were made to know Him, love Him, and follow Him—not at a distance, but face-to-face, heart-to-heart.
For 2,000 years, the saints, martyrs, and faithful men of the Church have understood this. From the Apostles who walked with Jesus, to St. Ignatius forming men to meditate on Christ’s every word and action, to the monks who prayed the Rosary and traced His steps in the Stations of the Cross—the Church has always been about intimacy with Jesus. Yet today, too many Catholic men don’t read the Gospels, don’t pray daily, and don’t go to Mass weekly. Without Him, faith becomes lukewarm, and lukewarm faith dies.
The Church is calling you back. Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI both preached this urgency: faith is not a set of rules or ideas; it’s a life-changing relationship with a Person—Jesus Christ. He is alive, waiting for you in Scripture, in prayer, and most powerfully in the Eucharist. Pick up the Gospels. Meet Him. Listen to His words. Follow Him closely. The New Evangelization starts with you and me saying yes to Jesus—personally, fully, right now.

Lord Jesus, I confess that I have treated You too casually at times. I want to know You, not just know about You. Draw me closer through Your Word, Your Sacraments, and daily prayer. Give me courage to live my faith boldly and to lead other men back to You. Amen.
